Maxendre originally hails from Chicoutimi in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, where he spent his formative years surrounded by nature. At the age of 18, he made the move to Montreal to delve into new hobbies like LARP and D&D. The rich geek culture and the city’s open-mindedness towards differences immediately captivated him.

Having initially pursued studies in the arts, Maxendre later shifted gears to training in human resources under the influence of some of his peers. However, his artistic inclinations eventually won out, prompting him to relocate to Quebec in pursuit of a more creatively fulfilling career.

It was during a tattooing session in 2016, where Maxendre was getting inked to conceal a graft on his left arm, that he experienced an epiphany: he wanted to become a tattoo artist himself. Following rigorous training and mentorship for a year, he returned to Montreal to establish his career in various studios. His unique blend of sketch style with watercolor and his vibrant use of color have become hallmarks of his work since 2021.
